Acupuncture Safety
Dr. Rosen uses FDA approved medical devices including use sterile, single-use acupuncture needles which are disposed of as bio-hazardous waste after every insertion. It is important you feel confident with the procedures you undergo when in Dr. Rosen's care. If you find concern about any practice performed at Bodyvolve, please consult with a staff member. Dr. Rosen is board-certified in herbology and has worked with thousands of patients using herbal medicine. While herbal products are at times disruptive, they have never resulted in permanent injury, or death to anyone under Dr. Rosen's care. Herbal medicine carries thousands of years of written documentation for low-risk usage that is closely followed by the trained and licensed practitioner. As a federal requirement Dr. Rosen is required to deliver products that are prepared by stringent standards. Dr. Rosen asks about drugs, medications, supplements or protocols that you engage in, in efforts to properly watch for drug-herb/supplement interactions. It is imperative that you report any adverse events you may experience to Dr. Rosen to receive immediate correction in your prescription. Dr. Rosen works closely with hospitals and physicians of many medical paths integrating care and herbal medicine to optimize the outcome of every patient.
Training
Trained to the highest standards, Dr. Rosen is a New Mexico State licensed Board Certified Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Texas and a Nationally certified Diplomat of Chinese Medicine. She holds an advanced degree in Oriental Medicine and an Bachelors degree in Psychology. Dr. Rosen has successfully passed the national and state required Clean Needle Technique courses which ensures that we practice the highest standards in the safe and sterile handling of needles. Dr. Rosen holds a current certification in CPR and is a former Emergency Medical Technician. Dr. Rosen has studied herbal medicine, and alternative healthcare techniques for over 20 years. Dr. Rosen is compulsive about continuing education, and ancient and modern approached to Chinese and Western medicine.
